Description

An incident is an act, omission, event, or circumstance. In other words, it is something that happens. A reportable incident is a serious incident or alleged incident which results in harm to an NDIS participant and occurs in connection with NDIS supports and services.

Each module in the NDS Incident Reporting course covers a different aspect of incident management. Part 1 covers organisational policies and procedures for incident reporting; Part 2 looks more in-depth at reportable incidents and mandatory reporting; and Part 3 addresses how to report effectively.

Support workers will learn the various scenarios where they, or their organisation, would have to report an incident to the NDIS Commission. It also outlines their roles and responsibilities if they witness or are informed of an incident.
